On this tour you will learn about the lifecycle of the Soursop fruit, the various uses of the trees and fruit, and get a view off the hill down onto the farm. If fruit is in season, you will also get the chance to try some Soursop.

FIRST TO ARRIVE BONUS. Jade Jungle Resort is the closest resort in Belize to this world-renown cave and archaeological discovery. Because of this, our guests arrive first and have a unique experience in the cave.

This Mayan ritualistic cave is home to thousands of archaeological artifacts and human remains that link us to the history of this incredible valley where tens of thousands of Mayans lived for hundreds of years.

Travel roughly 15 minutes from Jade to reach the trailhead, leave everything including your phones/cameras in the vehicle and hike 1.5 miles on flat ground with three mild river crossings to the mouth of the cave. Swim into the cave roughly 30-50 feet and then wade through water for about another mile into the cave. Climb up onto a shelf 12-15 feet above the cave floor. Take off your shoes and wear socks to walk among ritual artifacts and learn the history of the cave. Return to the trailhead to eat a late lunch.

Guests must have sufficient fitness and balance to complete the tour described, be at least 40″ in height, and be at least 5 years old.

Nestled on hills in the heart of Guatemala’s Maya Biosphere Reserve, the tour offers a perfect combination of archeology and jungle wildlife. Your guide, a knowledgeable Tikal expert, will give you a glimpse into the past of one of the world’s most impressive early civilizations and help you to spot the howler monkeys, spider monkeys, oscillated turkeys, coatimundis and other amazing wildlife that frequent this massive jungle park.

The day trip includes all transportation, border crossing fees, park entrance fee to Tikal, guided tour of the site, and lunch. Overnight trip also includes lodging and meals. (Visitors from some countries are required to obtain a special visa to enter Guatemala – check with your local passport agency to see if your country is one of them before leaving home.)

Travel deep into the jungle to reach the city and then explore and climb the various structures in the city and learn about the history of this fascinating city from your knowledgeable local guide.

This area is home to many natural water features including Rio On Pools and Big Rock Falls. You will enjoy time in the many pools and small waterfalls at Rio On Pools and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the valley.

After lunch you will head to Big Rock Falls trailhead where you will walk down several steep flights of stairs and over uneven and sometimes slippery rocks. You will arrive at a large and impressive waterfall with areas for admiring the falls, swimming, and/or cliff jumping.

This beautiful area is known for its wildlife, and for being home to Victoria Peak, the highest point in Belize at 3,810 Ft. (1,160 M).

Other highlights include substantial hiking trails, Ben’s Bluff (pictured above), waterfalls, and birding.

You will head to Hopkins Village in southern Belize and visit Jaguar Reef resort, which has a beautiful beach and the amazing Big Dock Bar.

At the Big Dock Bar you can rope swing into the ocean, lounge on nets, or swing at the bar. There’s something for everyone on this excursion.

This tour great for all ages, and is limited to six people maximum.

The tour includes your lunch, but does not include drinks or other extras. This is not an area for great snorkeling, so the tour is focused on beach time!

You will ride through the pasture and jungle, and across streams. This is a beautiful scenic location for a ride on one of the beautiful horses at Green Acres farm.

You will drive 45 mins from Jade and check in/sign a waiver for the tour. You will then load into a jungle truck and drive up the highway, through an orchard and to the trailhead of your adventure. You will be required to carry a pack with your rappelling gear and water.

You will do a rigorous hike for 45 min to 1 hour in rugged jungle terrain until you reach the location for your drop into the black hole. After a briefing from your guides on safety, and being properly harnessed, each person in your group will drop off the edge of this collapsed cave system into the black hole. This is approximately a 300 ft rappelling experience, and the majority of it is a free-rappel where you will not be touching the side of the cliff.

After everyone in the group has taken their turn, you will pack up all the gear and hike through a beautiful ravine and cave system. You will stop to eat lunch in this area, and then continue your hike and climb out (including a large ladder). Once you complete your climb out, you will hike back to the trailhead and return to Jade.

You will travel to the nearby city of San Ignacio to the San Ignacio Resort Hotel and check in for your tour. You must arrive on-time, as this tour is only offered once per hour on the hour. If you are late, you will need to wait until the next hour, which will still be a delightful experience sitting by the pool, or purchasing drinks at the bar.

During the tour, you will take a short walk from the hotel to where the iguanas are housed, and your guide will discuss the efforts of the rescue to repopulate green iguanas in Belize. You will also learn about the iguanas’ breeding, behaviors, diet, and more. Some of the resident iguanas that are not fit for release will come out for a visit, and you’ll also be able to see some of the young iguanas preparing to be released in the wild.

The tour lasts about an hour, and is great for any age.

Visit the Mesh family’s organic coffee farm in San Antonio Village and experience traditional Maya coffee production from tree to cup. Guests learn how coffee cherries are harvested, processed, sun-dried, shelled, roasted, ground, and prepared for tasting. The experience also provides an opportunity to learn about Maya culture, sustainable farming, and the family’s connection to the land.

Travel an hour from Jade, cross a hand-cranked ferry and tour ancient Mayan temples and palace. Your guide will teach you about the history and ongoing efforts to understand this amazing place.

Cahal Pech was the royal acropolis-palace of an elite Maya family during the classic period. This tour is available to all age.

The knowledgeable staff will present an excellent synopsis of the life of the butterfly life cycle, and you will get to see the eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies of several species. The main attraction is the enclosed flight area where scores of gorgeous tropical butterflies flutter around you, or perch on your shoulder for a ride.

This tour is fun for all ages and is highly recommended for families with children.

You will hike roughly 45 mins up the river to the entry point. Your guide will tie your tubes to his own and guide you through the cave.

After exiting the cave, you will float down the peaceful river until you reach the trail to return to the parking lot.

For the adventurous spirits, there is a nice cliff jumping rock near the end of the ride. Guests must be at least 40″ in height to participate in this tour.

Explore the incredible Nohoch Che’en reserver area from the treetops with a zip line tour. You will hike and zip through the canopy of the jungle and even cross a river on a 1,000 foot zip line! This tour requires an adventurous spirit, and at least 40″ in height for participants.

This is a great tour for all ages, and can be added to a transfer from the airport.

The blue hole is a cenote swimming hole with cool water that is great to cool off with after a hike, or on any hot day.

Belmopan is also the capital city of Belize, and the third largest city in the country. While in town you will have the opportunity to see the national government offices and get a feel for life like a local.
